Bert Joyce (1927-2017) was raised in a Christian family under the sound of the gospel. He knew the Scriptures from his earliest days and sat under the preaching of mighty men of God like his uncle Albert Joyce, and Herb Harris. However, Bert, like many children brought up in such privileged circumstances, wanted to get away from the gospel and enjoy the world. But God visited Bert with a sickness that nearly took his life. He sobered up and sought salvation. He was saved on 16th April 1939 as a 12 year old boy, sitting at the back of a Hall observing the breaking of bread meeting. In this recording, made during a series of gospel meetings he shared with Mr Bill Bingham, Mr Joyce tells the whole story with earnestness and conviction. In his 20’s Mr Bert Joyce was commended to preach the gospel full time and the Lord used him mightily over many decades.
