Albert Ramsay’s book about his labours in Prince Edward Island, Canada

In 1985 Mr Albert Ramsay (1913-1993) came from Canada to preach in various parts of the UK. While there he recounted the unforgettable story of his conversion to Christ back in June 1934 at “Gambles Corner” in Prince Edward Island under the preaching of Albert Joyce and the Harris brothers (Herb and Russell). Around 30 souls were saved during that series of Tent meetings and a New Testament assembly was formed on the island. From the start Albert became a bold witness and eventually, during the 2nd World War, left his employment for full time gospel service for the Lord. The story of Mr Ramsay’s conversion and call will warm your heart and challenge you in your service for Christ. The poem he wrote about his conversion is quoted in this message:

“I was only a worthless pebble upon the beach of time,
Yet He stooped and declared to heaven ‘I have made this pebble mine’!
And this is why I serve Him as I think of that crowded beach,
And shudder: that when He was passing I might have been out of reach,
And left like the other pebbles to never be touched by His hand
And tossed by the waves of life’s ocean and buried at last in the sand.”
