Sermons by Willie Fenton
The Greatest Love, Loss, Lament and Longing (36 min)
Willie Fenton preaches the gospel and highlights four “greatest things” in the Bible – the greatest love of all, the greatest loss of all, the greatest lament of all and the greatest longing of all. Readings: John 3:14-16, Mark 8:36, Jer 8:20, Luke 16:19-31. (Recorded at the Belfast Easter Conference, 2002)
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved” (43 min)
Willie Fenton and Matthew McKillen (1936-2018) both preach the gospel, on the same evening, from the same text of Scripture – Acts 16:31 – and tell their listeners to “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.” (Messages preached in Cregagh St Gospel Hall, Belfast).
“I thought I’d Been Left Behind” (30 min)
Willie Fenton and his brother were both saved on the same night in the summer of 1963. Willie had known the gospel all of his life, but the urgency of the matter had never really gripped him; until one night, when he realised that, if the Lord returned, he would be left behind for judgment. This is a touching story, full of interest and weighty spiritual import. Readings; Heb 12:25, Matt 24:38-42, John 3:16 (Story originally told in Northern Ireland)
