Coleraine 20th Anniversary – Three Musts (43 min)

As the Coleraine meetings continued, on the Wednesday of week 13 (19th April 2000) Peter Orasuk preached on the three “musts” in John Ch 3. Nicodemus was first of all shocked, then silenced (because he didn’t know how to be born again), and finally saved. Murray McCandless followed with a striking message marked by unusual power and pathos based on Luke 13:29 “They shall come from the East, and from the West, and from the North, and from the South.” He applied each direction figuratively to 1. people who get to heaven through being saved in early life (from the East); 2. at the end of life (from the West); 3. through difficulty and tragedy (from the North): and 4. through dying before reaching the age of responsibility (from the South). He referenced the recent passing of his mother, and the early death of a sister many years before. If you won’t come from one of these directions, there’s only one direction left for you.
