Leaving School at the age of 13, John Douglas (1891-1976) started working down a coal mine in Lanarkshire, Scotland. Though he grew up in an ungodly home, by the grace of God John was converted at the age of 20 through the preaching of Robert Scott. His conversion ended his football career with Glasgow Rangers and made him no longer welcome in his own home.
