Jack Hunter (1916-1994) from Kilmarnock, Scotland, was a gifted and much used preacher of the Word of God. A man short of stature, with a tiny Bible and no notes; yet to hear him was never to forget the challenge of the verses he expounded. In this classic sermon on Phil 1:21, Mr Hunter delivers a powerful challenge to his audience: what is your life all about? The only life worth living is summarised thus: “For to me to live is Christ”! And if that’s what your life is about, then you will be able to truly say “and to die is gain”.
